Cynthia and Tyler: A Very Dapper Day

Cynthia and Tyler Ten years ago Cynthia and Tyler started dating. They were high school sweethearts and have supported each other through the high and lows of life like total rock stars. Cynthia is now a lawyer and Tyler will soon be finishing up his PHD in Organic Chemistry.  On June 15, 2013 Tyler took Cynthia scuba diving at Leo Carrillo State Beach in Malibu.  Despite it being a rough day out at sea Tyler went through with his plan and used his under water writing to pad to ask “Will you marry me?”. When the newly engaged couple made it back to shore they were greeted by their families with flowers and champagne…

    Meet the Blogger

As I was gearing up for my next blog post I realized that I have never introduced myself! Where are my manners?! Hi! My name is Sierra. I am an organizational freak who loves to travel, read, scrapbook, dance, sing off key, and binge watch cheesy television shows. Since I was in seventeen I knew wedding planning was my future. I received my bachelors degree in Communication Studies from San Francisco State and a certification in Meeting and Event Planning. I moved to southern California after graduation to be with me boyfriend (We are still together, 8 years strong!) while he finished getting his engineering degree at Cal Poly Pomona.…

11 Tips for choosing your Wedding Flowers

11 Tips for choosing your Wedding Flowers 1. See the big picture! Think about the entire event when picking out your flowers. I.E. If your reception is going to have a spectacular view then lower centerpieces are a better choice then high ones.   2. Do your research on your florist and then trust them. With technology there is no excuse not to do research. Once you have narrowed down your florist to a few companies, explore into their backgrounds and reviews. You should be able to trust your florist whole heartily! I guarantee this will take some of the pressure off of you as the time gets closer.    3.…

Top 6 Tips for having kids in your Wedding

Top 6 Tips for having kids in your Wedding 1. Get them involved from the start. Once you have chosen the children that will be in your bridal party (i.e. flower girl or ring bearer) start involving them in some of the festivities! For example, let them come to the bridal shower and help out with handing the bride presents or assist in the making of a tissue paper bouquet. The main goal of including them early on is to keep them excited and…
